Ecowest led the technical reviews of successive iterations of YZC Wolverine Mine reclamation and closure plans for the Yukon Government. In support of these reviews, she was involved with a specialist team from Lorax Environmental Services Ltd. and Asterisk Mining Services Ltd. who completed environmental risk assessments for temporary and permanent mine closure phases, reviewed compliance performance, developed recommendations for alternative closure strategies and surveillance and monitoring requirements, and assessed closure liabilities. As part of these reviews, technical material was presented and discussed with government and YZC representatives.
